Set against Pāpāmoa Beach, this abstract study frames a familiar daily view: watching waves crash as long-distance cargo ships move in and out of Tauranga Harbour. Bold, geometric blocks of cobalt blue and loose, sketchy linework suggest the structured profile of the vessel against the open horizon. The work sits in a considered balance between abstraction and recognition, holding both clarity and suggestion in equal measure.
