Katrina McIntyre's beautiful handmade 'Pocket Hearts' are crafted from genuine Liberty fabric, proudly made in the UK. Liberty first printed its iconic fabrics in the 1890s, shortly after opening its doors on Regent Street, London in 1875. Renowned for avant-garde textile design, Liberty Fabrics maintains a bespoke production process, with in-house designers hand-drawing designs, printing near Lake Como, and technicians meticulously overseeing the creation of over 150 designs annually.

Artist Bio

Matamata based artist Katrina McIntyre also goes by the name Buttonjar Gypsy. She creates handcrafted textile and embroidered keepsakes with the utmost detail and loving care. 
Katrina enjoys the process of both designing and stitching and although she completed her certificate in Technical Hand Embroidery at the RoyalSchool of Needlework, she soon decided perfectionism was not for her and has learnt to embrace the wonkiness in her work.
