Artist Bio

Matamata based artist Katrina McIntyre also goes by the name Buttonjar Gypsy. She creates handcrafted textile and embroidered keepsakes with the utmost detail and loving care. 
Katrina enjoys the process of both designing and stitching and although she completed her certificate in Technical Hand Embroidery at the Royal School of Needlework, she soon decided perfectionism was not for her and has learnt to embrace the wonkiness in her work.
