Time Obscured | Santie Cronje

Time Obscured reflects Santie’s ongoing fascination with time. While early in her practice she depicted it through clocks and fob watches, her recent work captures time as a physical presence. Layers of paint are scraped, reworked, and rebuilt, revealing traces of past gestures. Arches, thresholds, and worn surfaces hold memory, history, and lived experience, transforming paint into a contemplative meditation on the passage of time.
